Who is this Vanessa Vaughan?

Vanessa Vaughan has a few tricks up her sleeve, working as an Artist, Communications Teacher, Freelance Graphic Designer and Video/Motion Graphics Artist.
Her work is primarily mixed media using a combination of digital and hand-drawn elements passed through various processes. This includes, Photocopiers, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrylic Paint, Gel Medium and Canvas. Vanessa enjoys exploring the relationship between vintage sampling of nostalgic imagery and their meanings once they have been re-interpreted through her processes into canvas paintings.
This Saturday, Nov. 1st at 2pm, her show the Cookbook II opens at Gallery Luz, 372 Ste-Catherine west, suite 418, in the creative superstructure that is the Belgo building, here in Montreal. Offering her vibrant meditations on the complications of life and the recipes to successful living, lay out as a feast on mixed media canvas.
Also, the same day she is opening as part of a group show at Arta Gallery in Toronto’s beloved Distillery district. Check the site for details.
